Can you believe we will soon be celebrating our 4th year here at Little Luxuries ? They say time flies when you're having fun - it certainly is flying for the team at Little Luxuries. We have just had our annual fundraising event at the salon. One of our co-owners, Jackie Langfield, will soon be heading to Peru to walk the Inca Trail in aid of Women's Cancer. We held a clothes swap event at the salon recently to help raise vital funds for Jackie's fundraising efforts.

In 2016, Emma Tucker, another co-owner of Little Luxuries, completed the London Marathon in aid of The Teenage Cancer Trust. We held a psychic evening at the salon to help raise funds for Emma's attempt.

On August 29th 2013 our Little Luxuries open day appeared in the East Anglian Daily Times, annoucing our launch as a one-stop hair and beauty salon in Kesgrave offering a wide range of treatments for hair, beauty and tanning. This was just the beginning of a very eventful year.

For Children in Need, in November, Leonie organised a male waxing session for the charity. It was a great evening with our brave volunteers going through the pain barrier for an enthustiastic audience. Everyone got involved and it was a lovely evening in aid of a good cause.

This event prompted a phone call from the BBC’s The One Show, inviting our girls Leonie, Jackie, Emma and Louise to the studio in London to wax two daring volunteers live on TV. Guests included Oprah and Daniel Radcliffe.

As a result of our TV debut, we were then invited appear on BBC Radio Suffolk with Mark Murphy. Jackie and Emma went to chat about our day in London and our waxing event.

In the spring of 2014 our hairdresser Hannah and beautician Ellen got the chance to work behind the scenes on a photoshoot for the popular ‘Your East Anglian Wedding’ magazine. They created both the hair and makeup look for a gorgeous cover model.

Our year continued with a busy prom season and numerous weddings. We‘ve been involved in many special days doing hair, makeup and nails for blushing brides, excited bridesmaids and proud Mums. We always feel very honoured to be chosen to play such an intergral part of someone’s wedding day.

One of our more courageous clients, Maria, came to get her head shaved for charity, raising an amazing £1,200.

We’ve enjoyed many of our increasingly popular Pamper Parties with clients ranging from young mums to the WI to birthday parties for little princesses. No matter what your age, everyone deserves a little pampering and these nights are such great fun.

All in all, it’s been a truly fabulous first year and we can’t wait to see what the year ahead brings!
